a cornucopia

noun: an abundant, overflowing supply. Indeed! A brief hiatus this next week to give thanks and unplug. Both my schedule and my gratitude are spilling over these days. The semester is coming to an end and my days are filled with University students preparing portfolios and requesting last minute reviews. I love teaching which perpetually fosters my own education. The idealism, urgency and naiveté of my students keeps me hopeful and eager and for this I am grateful. The creative exchange is invaluable.

I've also come across some delightful finds recently that I am happy to share. Beekman 1802, an idyllic feast of heirloom gardening, artisan soaps, rich history, panoramic travel and an adolescent spirit (literally, her name is mary). A treasure trove! This gorgeous site and blog overflows with nourishment and I am truly thankful for this new acquaintance.

And this story from a passionate series on NPR, This I Believe. Wonderful reading for the week ahead. This particular story of a father and his 'ridiculous' circumstances is a sweet reminder of the unpredictable paths we take that lead to the purest joy.

Lastly, big thanks to Elizabeth of Twig for her kindest support of periwinklebloom. I am honored to play a role in her beautiful collection she's curated. So grateful for the mention in 'small' magazine. A lovely publication, boasting gorgeous photos, supporting the independent studio and touting sublime design for small folks.

Enjoy the finds and thank you to those I have met online. A creative collective that has enriched my life. Cheers. sketch from bibliodyssey
