skipping stones

Ran across these fantastic fairytale-sized stones and droplets, magically bringing the outdoors in. French designer, Smarin, discovered via the lovely blog 'the notebook in my bag'. Stephanie Marin's work beautifully blends texture and space, man and nature into a comforting whimsical habitat. I can imagine melting atop these massive felt stones, soaking softly into a glowing drop or skimming between slivers of shadow. An ethereal environment no doubt; peaceful, contemporary and flexible form. A grown-up version of the timeless treasures found on hikes and summertime strolls.

Have you seen her wooden tree for the aperitif where you can display olives, fruits ... or sweets

I love this series...I had that flying leap picture on my inspiration board for so long, til I had to pack it all up to move. It's in a folder somewhere to be resurrected, though. Magic.
