warm winter whites

I'm excited to share a few new pieces to round out periwinklebloom's autumn/winter collection. As with my other organic cotton goods, the sherpa hoodie and swing jacket are generously cut for layering and growth. And at long last, snips and snails and puppy dog tails, a piece for boys! The sherpa hoodie, as cozy as the capelet, warms up those crisp days of collecting leaves, with freedom to stretch and jump and twist and tackle. Also created from the softest sherpa, the swing jacket ties loosely in front, pleats in back for spontaneous spinning and makes use of vintage fabric just inside the cuff. And finally an attempt at keeping those wee fingers free but warm, my little mitts, double-thick sherpa and fleece, in coffee and cream hues.

These 'lovely little hand-me-downs' are being created with care and are available for pre-orders to ship by end of month. They'll be in the shop over the weekend, so please do visit! And to the wise moms out there wondering about the winter whites, yes, I have poured pomegranate juice, soy sauce and melted chocolate on my fabrics to stain test. Happy to report with a cold rinse and stain-remover paste, your angels will at least look as pure as the driven snow.

special thanks to Greg, my Renaissance man.

Tyler, these images are angelic! I love how soft and luscious they are. Oh to be that little again, or to have little ones of my own!

I love your creativity and your attention to detail--it's wonderous to behold!
