sit, stay
Our days of late have been full and spinning. A frenzied welcome to Spring, a purging of sorts, searching and pondering a possible new abode and gently caring for our 100 year old digs in the meantime. Unrest, disquiet yet with promise. Just a moment to sit...craving silence and still. A brief hiatus to take for now. Enjoy the nourishment of the season, my friends.
The beautiful simplicity of Truck furniture, Japan. Ahh, sublime.
Most of us who turn to any subject we love remember some morning or evening hour when we got on a high stool to reach down an untried volume, or sat with parted lips listening to a new talker, or for very lack of books began to listen to the voices within, as the first traceable beginning of our love. ~T.S. Eliot

you know that top image would make a really cool-looking timeout chair for the kiddos! but my boys would simply spin themselves dizzy. i thought of something viewing these images and your pod the other day - could your students design a design for a pod - internal or external? interesting space/function impact on design...
I love these, especially the second one.
these are gorgeous as is the quote.
what a lovely post and what beautiful things to sit on Tyler!
I think I will sit and stay, thank you. These are wonderful finds.
me too,
I would sit still
until you told me it was ok to move.
Truck will always be a favorite of mine...sadly, I will always admire it from afar..sigh...xo t
I can completely sympathize with your post. It speaks so beautifully of desired quiet mixed with anticipation! So lovely!
