a new 'to-do' list

So I've been practicing what I've been preaching, taking time to pause or at least shifting some priorities. 'Tis the season for chaos which often trumps the spirit of peace. I'm trying my best, in the words of my preschooler, and have been M.I.A. for a couple weeks. Off in the void of being 'unplugged', treading new water and missing my nourishing eye-candy and fulfilling blogs. I'll be spending much of today as a treat to me, visiting those beloved sites and sending holiday warm wishes. Its icy outside so I'll allow the indulgence. I recently mentioned this lovely space which posed a delightful question regarding 'a few of your favorite things'. Yes, if you're now humming the ubiquitous family Von Trapp tune, you're not alone. Thought I'd share the sentiment and ask you to do the same. A little icing on top of your 'to-do' list today, think of you, if only for a moment to smile.

My list went like this...cashmere socks, going out for breakfast, recalling my grandfather's aftershave, laughing until i cry, being in a museum alone, latin guitar, watching my daughter dance... (cashmere socks, kuati)

And if you have a moment, see periwinklebloom on poppytalk this month. And two new items in the shop. Be well and warm.
